The weighted end should be dropped through the body and footjoint with the headjoint removed. 2 or 3 pulls through the instrument will soak up moisture and prevent both sticking pads and odors.The unique headjoint swab fits into the end of your cleaning rod. The 2 flaps should be folded together and inserted in the slot in the rod. The hooded portion should be folded back over the rod and the rod inserted into the open end of the headjoint until it is just touching the closed end (tuning cork assembly) of the headjoint. 2 or 3 passes in and out will clear condensation build-up.The double end duster brush is used to clean the area where the moving parts of your flute come together. You will see that dust, lint, moisture, and other materials seem to gather at these points. Brushes should always be used dry.
