The MF horn is a professional horn. MF horns can be purchased withlarge bore option allowing for incredible sound to be pumped through the bigger than average diameter of the pipe. A powerful set of lungs will be taxed to fill up the large-bore MF Horn a la Maynard Ferguson. I own one, I haved owned one since 1982 and my original horn is still a real workhorse. A MF horn is for those wishing to break away from the popular Stratavarius horns and King trumpets that all other "students" purchase, and will give you inspiration while playing the unique and extremely powerful trumpet. Good beginners trumpet
I'm not a trumpet player but play the guitar. I've been interested in playing the trumpet so I bought this one. I'm not disapointed. Its a simpler construction than the $1000+ trumpets at my local music store but it is a real instrument and I've been successful in playing it. I've shown it to a professional trumpet player who gave it thumbs up and was quite happy with the intonation. It comes in a good hard case with a 7C mouthpiece and valve oil. You'll need to get a better valve oil than comes with it (make quite some difference for me) and some slide grease. ... Read more
