Despite what you may have heard
all USB cables are NOT created equal. Belkin's cables are good enough stuff on average, and reasonably priced at less than seven dollars here. I've learned from experience that the BAD stuff won't make itself known until it becomes intermittent a few seconds or years after you first connect it. The process of discovering the fault can easily be more expensive than the added cost of good quality cables.

Nice long cable. Had doubts wondering if it would decrease performance. Happy to say i was wrong. Perfermod just as good using the long and shorts cables.

All USB cables are created equal.
At $3.99, this is a good price for a name brand USB cable, but only because they tend to dramatically overcharge on their prices. There are no differences with USB cables other than length and the shape of the connectors placed on each end. There are plenty of online retailers that sell USB cables for less than $1.00 and they will work just as fine as any high priced one you may see at BestBuy, CircuitCity, Staples, OfficeMax, Radio Shack, etc. Many of the high priced cables will include gold plated connectors which is just a gimmick, they provide no better connection that those without it. Also USB cables do not have speeds associated with them they way computers and laptops do. There is no such thing as a USB 1.1 or 2.0 cable so if you have an older USB cable when USB 1.1 was the only thing out, it will work perfectly with the newer USB 2.0 technology. They are made exactly the same, you're told you need a newer "high speed" hoping that you'll throw away you perfectly capable current cable and buy the new $40 gold-plated zero-loss oxygen-free cable when you really don't need it. As I said at earlier, $3.99 is a good price for this set, but you can find better if you shop around. If Amazon is the only site you trust buying from, definitely get these.

Exceptional Quality at Low Price.
This is a good USB cable.It is compatible with both USB 1.0 and 2.0 ports.It is long enough to give great flexibility with arraging whatever it needs to be connected to.The price is extremely good (even though amazon.com changes it every now and then) for this cable.It is way more expensive in stores.And getting a Belkin product for such a low price is excellent.This is totally worth the money, and is a great buy if you need a USB cable.

This is a USB 1.0 AND 2.0 cable.
The product description doesn't state this, but this is a USB 2.0 cable meaning you get access to all the extra speed USB 2.0 offers.It's also backward compatible with USB 1.0.

The cable is dark grey (it matches the 2004 model Dells nicely), very sturdy, and has a great solid connection when plugged in.

The price is low, the quality is not. This is an excellent value.

The Best
This is my second Belkin cable.The first one I purchased it from Best Buy for 4 times the amount that I paid at Amazon.I bought the Belkin F3U133-06 because it's the best cable avilable in the market.

Amazon and Belkin team up for another great deal
If you're looking for a basic 10' USB extension cable, you've come to the right place. Belkin's products have always been reliable, and this one is no different.

The Belkin F3U134-10 is a 20-gauge 10' USB cable, A plug to A receptacle.I use mine on an older PC that only has USB ports on the back of its tower. Thanks to this cable, I no longer need to climb under furniture to insert my USB memory key.

If you plan to use this cable to extend a shorter cable, be aware of recommended USB cable length limits.Low-density devices (e.g. mice and keyboards) should not exceed cable lengths of 10', while high-density USB devices such as scanners and printers should be limited to a total cable length of 16 feet. If you plan to extend your current USB cable beyond these limits, consider getting a repeating cable such as the Belkin Active Extension USB Cable.

Perhaps the best reason to buy this USB cable from Amazon is to get their hefty discount on Belkin products. You'll pay about a third what you would at your local electronics store.Now that's a bargain!

Great, quality cable
I recently purchased an inexpensive webcam, which came with a 8-inches long USB cord. Obviously whoever manufactured it intended the cord to reach from the PC monitor/LCD to the back of the computer, and nothing more. This was unacceptable.<P>
Luckily I browsed around and found this cable, which was a lifesaver. It's got a female "A" plug on one side and a male "A" plug on the other, effectively working as an "extension cord" (to be plugged in the middle, between your pc and one of your existing USB cables that is attached to your USB device).

Very good quality cables. Inexpensive price. To paraphrase Jerry Pournelle on the legendary Byte magazine: "Recommended!". :)

I bought this with the Lexar Media 256mb jump drive pro (which took forever to ship, still not here, etc) but since the usb flash drive was over $25, when I bought the cable, I got free shipping also. This USB extension cable has performed beyond my expectations for over 8 months. Can't beat the price.
This thing sells for over [dollar amount]at a retail store.As of this writing, I bought it for[much less].Belkin's cables are pretty good and I haven't had problems.They also offer lifetime warranty so you can't beat that either.

It worked on my USB 2.0 video capture even though the vendor didn't suggest I go over 6' but according to USB specifications, it still works fine.This length is the max I believe without any additional hubs...

I've been using Belkin USB cables for some time now, and have found them to be consistently high in quality.I saw the price here for this cable and the length, and took the chance on it as I am purchasing a USB 2.0 capable scanner.The cable arrived in the retail Belkin package and it was USB 2.0 rated cable.Pleasant surprise - especially at this price:)

This 16 feet (4.88 meter) long USB A to USB B cable = ASIN B00004Z5PY = was just right to extend my WebCam 15 feet (4.75 meter) cable (for 3Com 00371800 HomeConnect PC Digital Camera = ASIN B00000JDHV =) to 31 feet (9.45 meter). To "connect" the two cable bought the Linksys USB 4 Port Hub Universal Serial Bus = B00004Z6PI which has an external power supply, making sure that the 31 feet length cable (not recommended for WebCam) is working fine. The only thing I have to complain about is the small package of the 16 feet cable which squeezes the volume of the whole length to a fist size. Assuming you've got an available USB port on your PC, and are running a USB-compatible version of Windows (Win98SE or higher, or Windows 2000/XP), this product does exactly what you'd expect it to.Simple to use - just plug your PS/2-style mouse and/or keyboard into the unit, then plug the unit into an available USB jack on your PC, and Windows will autodetect the devices.

This is an excellent device to use if you want to attach two PS/2 style keyboard/mouse combos to the same PC - for example, if you've got both an adult and a child-size keyboard you want to run on the same PC, and both keyboards have PS/2 jacks.

doesn't come with a cable
I expected it would come with a cable to hook up to the USB device, but it doesn't. So I am ordering a third cable....

HW ok, user interface under Mac OS X is poor
In short it works, however ... the software under Mac OS X is very poor.To switch between the computers sharing the USB peripheral you need to have the software running, it uses space in your Dock and you still have to use a hot-key sequence.There is no menu option in the user interface to do the switch, and no help menu.In fact the entire user interface is quite unprofessional, the "About" menu is "About Hello" ???, which brings up a window with hello, hello, hello ..They don't even provide the manual or a README on the CD.
