Works perfectly!
I've had this card for about 1 1/2 years now and it has performed flawlessly. It has seen thousands of photos (no exaggeration!) on my digital camera and now holds data/mp3s for my palm too. Did you know you can pop your SD card out of a camera and into a palm to view photos? I just learned this. Anyway it's a nice product and I'm about to get another SimpleTech with 512 megs or higher if they have one. If you are new to SD memory, always get more storage than you need because eventually you'll buy something that will use one (camera, handhelds, cell phones, etc. -- note that many cell phones use a smaller "MiniSD").

Very Very Nice!
This is a very good sd card and is a great size for its value. I am using it with the panasonic sv-av20 digital cam and it works perfect for it. plays mp3s great, and can handle video very well. Overall great SD card!

couldn't hope for better
i got the right decision when i brought it. it functionned instantly when i put it in my hp 720 camera. it is provided with a lifetime warranty and you recieve a plastic box to put the card in. it is also the cheapest 128 mb card in the market. beware the transfer speed is 2 mb/s

Dependable & Reasonably Priced
Sandeep's review was informative, but for photographers like myself, I'm not going to be too concerned about a difference of 6 MB (actual 122 MB instead of 128 MB). All I'm concerned about is will the card retain the data in a consistent, accurate and dependable manner; not like what happened to the poor guy who lost his using a Sandisk memory card. The price is right, too. I've had this Simpletech 128 MB SD card for 2 years now, and haven't had one single problem with it.

Great card - but only 122 MB of memory
The card works great and had no problems using it. However, I did find that it only registers as 122 MB. I think the difference is that the card is not 128 MB, but rather 128,000,000 Bytes. Usually 1 MB is 1024 x 1024 Bytes. I think this should be clarified on the product description.

Another thing - even though Amazon's description states that it is over 10 MB/sec, the 128 MB is really only 2.5 to 3 Mb/sec. I think their 256 MB and 512 MB cards are faster. Check the online manual for details.

BAD , BAD, BAD, the worst you can get !!!!
UNfortunatly, sometimes we end up chosing pruducts based on brand names. This is waht happened to me. I saw this on sale... and bought 1 spindle. got another one at the marktplace, and since this pice of trash got on sale on best buy for 19 00 I ended up buying 1 pack over there also. My first spindle arrived at my house and for my surprise, For the first time I had a lost media on MY DELL DVD burner.... tried to burn 6 diferents stuff... and always got errror messegae on the midle. USed the cheap media TEON to burn same stuff, with no problem at all... Absolutely rock Solid
Got a 128 mb card for my digital camera then a few days ago dropped my camera from 5 feet or more on hard concrete floor with the card in it.

just put back batteries and turned on the camera the card was reading as normal as though nothing happened.

Lexar does make quality products and mine was made intaiwan.

write speed is very good only one off photos make it slow else it is very fast .will stick to lexar always

got 121mb on inseting the card but that is natural due to a data overhead in every card.

Has not shown me trouble yet...

Stressful 30 minutes
My brother got a Lexar for Christmas.He put it in his Tungsten C and for 30 stressful minutes the card did not work.The device recognized the card, but you could not copy, format, nothing... just got an error "This card is read only and cannot be ."Then all of a sudden it started working.2 stars for the stress and for the fear that it will stop working again.

Worth the money!
I bought one for my new digital camera, and I'm very glad I did. It's really not that huge of an expense (compare it to what you might spend on film), and it's vital if you plan to ever take more than a few good pictures at any occasion.

Best CD/DVD envelopes out there.
I've tried more types of CD and DVD storage devices and techniques than I'd care to admit, and these envelopes are the best.The capability of holding more than one disk is great, but the capper is the flap that holds a label (provided) with the disk title.

When they're stored in a simple box such as Fellowes' own fake-leather "CD Box" (great, but very hard to find) you can store an INCREDIBLE number of disks in a small space and it's easy to riffle through the titles because you can flip the label flaps easily without removing the envelopes from the box.

I challenge anyone to find a more compact method of storing disks!

Fellows CD Sleeve Pack
This product is made of tyvek type material, which is indestructable.It's a great storage media for organizing and storing your CD's, as you can insert a customized label into the little space at the top, which is provided in the box with the sleeves.I just wish these included labels were loadable into the printer, but all in all, a great product!

Organize Those CD's!
I literally have 100's of CD's lying around the house and recently took it upon myself to organize (most of) them;) I considered those CD storage books/wallets but didn't like the fact that they make alphabetical sorting a nightmare (i.e. making room for one CD on a certain page requires moving 10 pages worth of CD's!). That's where these CD sleeves come in - put your CD"s in these sleeves, then store 'em in a box and access them like old-fashioned library cards. Fellowes even sells a nice 100-disk-capacity stackable box that comes with 25 of these sleeves.

These sleeves are double-sided. Each can hold 2 CD's or 1 CD plus a booklet. The width of each sleeve is slightly wider than a std CD, and at the top is a 3/4" tab/flap - very handy for writing/ataching a label and for pulling the sleeve out of a box. The construction appears to be good - not thin, cheap plastic that might easily tear or rip.

My only complaint is with the design of the finger-hole used to extract the CD from the sleeve - its in the shape of a keyhole rather than an open "U". This makes it a little difficult to pull out CD's when there are two in the sleeve (you can solve this with a pair of scissors if it bothers you).

Overall, these sleeves provide a high-density storage solution at a reasonable cost, especially when you purchase the higher-count package. ... Read more

Haven't had a coaster yet
I've burned 75 of these discs and haven't had a coaster yet.75 for 75.they burn at 24x..which is fine.i just love these.i collect old vinyls and this makes my newer music look cool as well.get em while they're hot...

Every other CD is a dud...
I bought these blank CDs to make some audio mixes with.They look really cool and are much more fun to look at then the usual dull shiny or matted CDs you get.However, looks only go so far.Every other CD I've burned with has been a dud.I have a great TDK Burner, 48X speed, and use the latest version of Nero.Doesn't matter b/c the CD's themselves don't seem to want to work every time.I've only been able to successfully use about 50% of the CDs in this spindle and won't be buying anymore of this line from Verbatim til they fix their quality issues in manufacturing these CDs.My $12 50-pack spindle Target-brand CDs have worked like a charm and I haven't hit a dud with a single one of those yet.In this case you definitely don't get what you pay for. ... Thank God, it works!
I bought two of these for my Dell Inspiron 8500.They actually worked (both of them ;-D), and well, too.I use a Philips SDVD6004 DVD-Burner (on an Inspiron 8500), and these Sony disks work infinitely better than the Memorex DVD+R's (I burned 6 coasters- out of all 6 burn attempts- using the Memorex DVD's).

Really not much else to say, except these WORK, unlike the Memorex DVD+Rs.Plus, if you have some problem burning these Sony's, you can always erase the disk and try again.

Works great at 8x!
I have an NEC burner and these discs work great at 8X. Some people buy them because some Verbatim's carry an MMC003 media code and can burn at 12X. The truth is, Verbatim use to make their own media, but now just rebadges them with thier name and are actually made by varied media manufacturers. In the end, you get varied results when you burn faster than what the media is rated, becuase the media is not always the same, even though it was packaged as Verbatim. If you intend to burn at 8x, then these will be fine for your purposes. But if your intent is to burn these at above 8x, be careful, different burners will get varied and unstable results, becuase you'll never know what you'll end up with.

Performance as expected
It is a memory stick, there is not much to say about it. It did not fail or destroy any of my data, which is about all you can say about such products. I'm still a little hesitant about this price point for the product, in comparison to other formats 128 MB is starting to become a very small amount.One note: it is not translucent purple as it appears in the image, it is the dull purple-blue of all of the other Sony memory sticks.

How many pictures will it store?It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about.Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Lexar Media 128MB Memory Stick, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera,64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera.These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Good buy!
The Stick that came with my Sony HandyCam (8MB) was not sufficient and wanted to get a bigger one - I read good reviews about this in Amazon, elsewhere and from friends - though one review said there could be compatibility issues with Sony, I did not fine any - works like a charm.

Reliable product so far
I give 4 stars because of the performance issue mentioned by other reviewers is true. I never tried 128Mb Sony brands but if Sony got the same problem I give it 5 stars due to the price different.
I'm using Sony 8, 32 & 64Mb memory stick & all give me instant access (I really not feel any delay even in 64Mb, but I pretty sure there is if measure by instrument)
The main concern of any memory cards is reliability - this one didn't need any reformat after 4 months use. Some of my Sony brand memory sticks did give me "device not read" error & need to reformat before I can use it.
Price is good coz I got it for 32+. Also, 256Mb is still too expensive to have one now compare with other memory formats.

Great storage, too slow
I'm using this smartmedia with my Samsung Digimax 200. Although I relate this phenomenon to the smartmedia format per-se, it does make your camera slower. After using this card it took nearly 26 seconds for the camera to be ready to take a shot. That includes initialization and flash charge. This is way much longer than with the original 8MB card. So it's not that this particular brand is bad, but the higher capacity the card has, more you'll have to wait to initialize your camera.
Besides that, this was a great purchase, along with a simpletech smartmedia USB 2.0 reader.

The card seemed to make my camera a little slower to get ready after I turn it on. Besides that I am very happy and it was so cheap too !

SimpleTech SmartMedia is slower than other brands
I have three brands of SmartMedia cards: SimpleTech, Viking, and the Olympus card that came with my camera.I timed how long it took to copy the same 5MB file to each card.The result:the other cards took 32 seconds and the SimpleTech took 38 seconds.So, my results show that the SimpleTech is about 18% slower than the others. That's important to me because when I take action shots I'm often waiting for the previous image to write to disk before I can take the next shot.
