5-0 out of 5 stars Despite what you may have heard
all USB cables are NOT created equal. Belkin's cables are good enough stuff on average, and reasonably priced at less than seven dollars here. I've learned from experience that the BAD stuff won't make itself known until it becomes intermittent a few seconds or years after you first connect it. The process of discovering the fault can easily be more expensive than the added cost of good quality cables.

5-0 out of 5 stars Belking rocks!!
Nice long cable. Had doubts wondering if it would decrease performance. Happy to say i was wrong. Perfermod just as good using the long and shorts cables.

4-0 out of 5 stars All USB cables are created equal.
At $3.99, this is a good price for a name brand USB cable, but only because they tend to dramatically overcharge on their prices. There are no differences with USB cables other than length and the shape of the connectors placed on each end. There are plenty of online retailers that sell USB cables for less than $1.00 and they will work just as fine as any high priced one you may see at BestBuy, CircuitCity, Staples, OfficeMax, Radio Shack, etc. Many of the high priced cables will include gold plated connectors which is just a gimmick, they provide no better connection that those without it. Also USB cables do not have speeds associated with them they way computers and laptops do. There is no such thing as a USB 1.1 or 2.0 cable so if you have an older USB cable when USB 1.1 was the only thing out, it will work perfectly with the newer USB 2.0 technology. They are made exactly the same, you're told you need a newer "high speed" hoping that you'll throw away you perfectly capable current cable and buy the new $40 gold-plated zero-loss oxygen-free cable when you really don't need it. As I said at earlier, $3.99 is a good price for this set, but you can find better if you shop around. If Amazon is the only site you trust buying from, definitely get these.

1-17-2005 Update. At the current price, this is no-longer a good deal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Where's my thing?
This is the best price and quality you'll find for a USB cable.I wish i would have bought more than one, just don't have a need for another one.Buy, buy, buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer Cable
I bought a new printer on Dell and was going to buy a USB cable from them but when I saw $25 for the cable, I decided to look elsewhere. When I saw this cable on Amazon for such a low price, I was concerned that it wouldn't work with my printer.I received it quickly from Amazon and it worked great.Higly recommend to everyone. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Quality at Low Price.
This is a good USB cable. It is compatible with both USB 1.0 and 2.0 ports. It is long enough to give great flexibility with arraging whatever it needs to be connected to.The price is extremely good (even though amazon.com changes it every now and then) for this cable. It is way more expensive in stores. And getting a Belkin product for such a low price is excellent. This is totally worth the money, and is a great buy if you need a USB cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars ... your basic cable.
It's cheap, it works. What more could you want from a cable?

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a USB 1.0 AND 2.0 cable.
The product description doesn't state this, but this is a USB 2.0 cable meaning you get access to all the extra speed USB 2.0 offers. It's also backward compatible with USB 1.0.

The cable is dark grey (it matches the 2004 model Dells nicely), very sturdy, and has a great solid connection when plugged in.

The price is low, the quality is not. This is an excellent value.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best
This is my second Belkin cable. The first one I purchased it from Best Buy for 4 times the amount that I paid at Amazon.I bought the Belkin F3U133-06 because it's the best cable avilable in the market.

5-0 out of 5 stars if you can use a usb cable for your printer this is the one
I have been using this cable with my Samsung Laster printer for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the no problem performance.

Its long enough to be used as a printer cable (which is important) and it works. What more can you ask for from a usb cable?

Much nicer setup than the bulky parallel port setup. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it should.Very useful for HDTV boxes
The 6' 4 pin to 6 pin Belkin IEEE 1394/Firewire cable does exactly what it says it should for relatively cheap. As long as you're at the 400 MB/s standard as this is, there's no need to spend $50 on a gold plated connector and superheavy isolation like the Monster cables.Firewire is designed to function up to 15' without signal degradation, and unlike analog signals the 0 and 1s of digital signals aren't subject to manipulation by electrical fields.Either they get through or they don't, so as long as these are certified under the standard you save money by not buying useless frills. It's shiny translucent silver, not black, but if you care that much about cable color you probably already have your cables hidden anyway.

The 4 pin models work with most electrical powered devices; the 6 pin models usually are for devices that need battery power.(The extra two pins carry current.)For those looking for an adapter for Comcast/Motorola HDTV-ready digital boxes, this is the cable you need. For some reason Motorola decided to use a 6 pin adapter, where almost all HDTVs and DVHS VCRs use a 4 pin.(PCs typically use 6.)I've used one for a while now to run flawless 1080i signals between my Comcast HDTV box and my DVHS VCR. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Cable
I got a good deal at Amazon.com, With free shipping it makes it worthwhile. The Same Cable is thirty bucks in the retail store. It looks very sturdy and doesnt flop around. It has a cool translucent look. It is braided. The contacts are of solid quality.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Deal
...This is a very good quality cable. It has a very nice fell to it. The braided sleeve gies it a "stay" not seen with the rubber sleeve cables.
I do not see the logic in spending a lot of money on cables. There are cheaper ones on Amazon.com, but ony this was eligible for the free shipping. I was familiar with how it looked since I had shopped for it in the retail store. With the free shipping (& no taxes) this is an excellent deal. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazon and Belkin team up for another great deal
If you're looking for a basic 10' USB extension cable, you've come to the right place. Belkin's products have always been reliable, and this one is no different.

The Belkin F3U134-10 is a 20-gauge 10' USB cable, A plug to A receptacle.I use mine on an older PC that only has USB ports on the back of its tower. Thanks to this cable, I no longer need to climb under furniture to insert my USB memory key.

If you plan to use this cable to extend a shorter cable, be aware of recommended USB cable length limits.Low-density devices (e.g. mice and keyboards) should not exceed cable lengths of 10', while high-density USB devices such as scanners and printers should be limited to a total cable length of 16 feet. If you plan to extend your current USB cable beyond these limits, consider getting a repeating cable such as the Belkin Active Extension USB Cable.

Perhaps the best reason to buy this USB cable from Amazon is to get their hefty discount on Belkin products. You'll pay about a third what you would at your local electronics store. Now that's a bargain!

5-0 out of 5 stars A major bargain!
This same cable sells for over $20.00 at local electronics stores. Not only was this an incredible buy, but customer contact was professional and consistent.I will certainly purchase here again - look out Fort Worth!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, quality cable
I recently purchased an inexpensive webcam, which came with a 8-inches long USB cord. Obviously whoever manufactured it intended the cord to reach from the PC monitor/LCD to the back of the computer, and nothing more. This was unacceptable.<P>
Luckily I browsed around and found this cable, which was a lifesaver. It's got a female "A" plug on one side and a male "A" plug on the other, effectively working as an "extension cord" (to be plugged in the middle, between your pc and one of your existing USB cables that is attached to your USB device).

Very good quality cables. Inexpensive price. To paraphrase Jerry Pournelle on the legendary Byte magazine: "Recommended!". :)

5-0 out of 5 stars SUPER FAST SHIPPING!!
I bought this with the Lexar Media 256mb jump drive pro (which took forever to ship, still not here, etc) but since the usb flash drive was over $25, when I bought the cable, I got free shipping also. The cable came within 3 days even though it was free shipping. They sent it separately for free also, and that was great. I just need the drive now so I can put the cable into use.

    5-0 out of 5 stars It's AMAZING....
...That such an excellent piece of equipment could be 'reviewed' by persons that are computer challenged. These JOKERS should seek help before buying a product and writing negative reviews because THEY bought the wrong product! GEEZ!

This USB extension cable has performed beyond my expectations for over 8 months. There has been NO noticeable [at least not to me] degradation in performance to my accessories [digital camera, webcam and JUMPDRIVE ] by using this extension cord and it means that I do not have to be fiddling behind or leaning down in front of the computer to attach and detach the equipment.

It is a GREAT buy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't beat the price.
This thing sells for over [dollar amount]at a retail store. As of this writing, I bought it for[much less].Belkin's cables are pretty good and I haven't had problems. They also offer lifetime warranty so you can't beat that either.

It worked on my USB 2.0 video capture even though the vendor didn't suggest I go over 6' but according to USB specifications, it still works fine. This length is the max I believe without any additional hubs...

4-0 out of 5 stars Uhhhh its a cable
My big thing is all about price cause there isnt much noticable difference cable brand to cable brand for the average user. This same EXACT Belkin one was almost triple the price locally. Works fine great value . Woo Hoo !

    5-0 out of 5 stars it's usb 2.0!!
I've been using Belkin USB cables for some time now, and have found them to be consistently high in quality.I saw the price here for this cable and the length, and took the chance on it as I am purchasing a USB 2.0 capable scanner. The cable arrived in the retail Belkin package and it was USB 2.0 rated cable.Pleasant surprise - especially at this price:)

3-0 out of 5 stars USB CABLE MATH for WEB CAM and other USB DEVICES
This 16 feet (4.88 meter) long USB A to USB B cable = ASIN B00004Z5PY = was just right to extend my WebCam 15 feet (4.75 meter) cable (for 3Com 00371800 HomeConnect PC Digital Camera = ASIN B00000JDHV =) to 31 feet (9.45 meter). To "connect" the two cable bought the Linksys USB 4 Port Hub Universal Serial Bus = B00004Z6PI which has an external power supply, making sure that the 31 feet length cable (not recommended for WebCam) is working fine. The only thing I have to complain about is the small package of the 16 feet cable which squeezes the volume of the whole length to a fist size. So you will get a zigzag-worm instead a straight point-to-point connection. However, the cable works fine. I straighten it carefully with a soft towel after I had it on the sun to warm it up. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars questions
I am in the process of buying an ipod, but very confused. First off I understand the ipod mini comes with a USB cable in the box, cause that's what it says. Wouldn't that be all you need to connect your ipod to your PC, having you do own a PC & not a MAC? and second I am kinda confused with the word "Dock Connector". Is the word dock connector referring to the bottom of the Ipod Mini, or is it a whole different type of adapter one needs to be able to hook up the USB cord from the ipod to the computer. Thanks.

4-0 out of 5 stars Essential PC-to-iPod accessory cable
PC owners: odds are high that you need this to connect your computer to your iPod. Yes, it chafes that after spending several hundred dollars for a fancy digital music player, you have to drop another $20 or so for another cable, but that's just the way it goes.

The firewire end of this double cable connects with the AC outlet adapter and has the same functionality as the firewire-only cable packaged with the iPod. It's the USB end that connects to the computer. In order to synch up the iPod, you plug the USB cable into your PC; when it's finished and a checkmark appears on the iPod screen, you can unplug it again.

The cables are about six feet long, long enough to reach under a desk to the wall outlet or around to the computer. They come with cute little plug covers that snap onto skeins of cable.

It would be nice if there was some kind of retractable-cable option, or if the cables were a little bit larger-gauge.

Unless you have a firewire port, PC and iPod users will need this item to connect and synch their iPod.

(My experience comes from owning the 3d-gen 20 GB iPod with dock connector.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Will not charge 3G iPod via USB alone
I am reasonably sure this cable will NOT charge an iPod unless the firewire portion is plugged into the iPod power supply. USB only delivers 5V, and the iPods this cable fits needed 12V to charge (Firewire). So don't buy it if you think you'll be able to travel without the iPod power supply as well as the cable.

1-0 out of 5 stars CAUTION!!!!!!
Do NOT buy this Cable if you're planning to buy a new click wheel ipod, they're not compatible, (use M9688LL/A cable kit instead).

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
This is a great product. You do not need the Ipod dock to use this connector as it may seem from reading about it.The connector clicks into the bottom of the Ipod. You can plug the firewire side into the AC charger so that the battery is not used while transferring files and the USB 2.0 side can be plugged into your computer at the same time.If you have any money left to burn after the cash you dished out for the Ipod, get one of these handy connectors. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars less expensive than some, works as advertised.
i'm using this with an canon optura 500 on a desktop pc running windows xp.it works without a hitch (as it's supposed to of course).

the price is competitive, don't get a very expensive cable, it's more of a gimmick than a performance gain.

5-0 out of 5 stars belkin cable worked for me
priced right and worked flawlessly, i recommend this item for home networking and will use again in the future.

2-0 out of 5 stars DECEPTION
Yeah sure this cable does what it's supposed to. And it's only 12.99. Yeah right that's before the 8.00 shipping and handling you pay Tiger direct. BS

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good Ethernet Cable
I needed a cable to go across my house, and this one did that job fine. I was really afraid I would have to pay a lot of money for a 50' cable, but this cable proved me wrong. It is not expensive(...). The snagless connectors were very useful when I was dragging the wire under my floors (though some tape probably could have done the job). I have not noticed any loss in performance because of this cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does what it shoould
Its a good price for a 50' cable and it is functional. For an ethernet cord thats about all you can say.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pre made cables versus a big roll
I bought these Belkin cables. They are very nice quality. They seem heftier than a lot of the other cables. My system analyst neighbor mentioned that he prefers to buy the 1000 foot roll. 1-0 out of 5 stars Get a convertor box instead
Instead of this pick up a Plextor convertor box.It takes the output of the camcorder (composite/RCA or S-Video) and compresses that to mpeg-2 (DVD) or mpeg-4 (or DivX) and includes software which easily burns that to DVD or CD (mpeg-1 or mini DVD).Look for Plextor's M402U box.Unless you really want to deal with 3.125 MB of data per second (25 Mbps), or about 180 MB per minute, or about 11 GB per hour through the firewire link, get the M402U.Your options will be greatly expanded, and you won't tell the difference by looking.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent cable to assist in transfers of your videos to PC
Excellent method for transfering your videos to your computer for editing and making CD's.The i.Link cable is easy to use.Make sure you order the right cable.I ordered the wrong cable a 4 pin to 4 pin which I believe only works if you have a Sony computer. Most other computers like my Dell will probally need the 6 pin to 4 pin cable.
Also make sure your computer has the capability before ordering. i.LINK is also known as Firewire and IEEE-1394.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cable
What can you say? It works perfectly and is of high qulity.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cable, the snagless feature saves the cord
These Belkin category 5e cables are well made. They are a good overall gauge thickness and the snag less ends are very beneficial. You may have experienced the problem of untangling a phone cord, only to have the clip on the end bend over or worse yet snap off. The next time you use that cord it doesn't have anything to keep it in the wall. Well what Belkin did with these snag less cables was put twin ridges made out of a rubbery plastic, that puts the snap in clip in a valley down below the ridges. So if you are untangling, those ridges prevent other wires from snagging the clip. That is a great idea. That is not enough to make you want to buy the cable, if it weren't for the fact that it is overall a great cable. The seven-foot length is good for a small patch area, like when connecting your modem to a router, or when your cable or DSL modem and/or router are right next to your computer.
The other nice thing is the price here at Amazon on these cables. I went into the local nationally famous office supply, and they were half again as much money. So overall it is a very nice combination. They also don't slow down your connection at all. I get the same exact connection speed when using the online speed tests when I use the 50-foot, or the 7-foot.
Highly recommended. Buy it here at Amazon and save the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Belkin cables - they're all great
7 feet, just to warn you all, unless you know for sure that the things you're connecting are gonna be close, could be a little tight, especially if you're going around a desk or something.

Looking for cables? Go with Belkin, go with snagless. You'll save yourself a lot of grief.

5-0 out of 5 stars Identical to higher priced ripoffs by Monster and the like
As stated in other reviews, bits are bits. If they get from one system component to another, you're doing just as well with a $9 cable as a $60 one. Monster and other companies are ripping consumers off with gobbledeygook buzzwords designed to obscure the mind and open the pocketbook.

I have installed this cable in my system, and its performance delivering 5.1 channel and DTS from my DVD player to my receiver is flawless. Identical to the other more expensive optical cable I have.

One thing to note: While the list price of this item is $3.25, the shipping was around $6, which is pretty high, but for a total of $9 or so, you get what you'd have to pay $20 or more for at other outlets. $9 is a very good price compared to the rest of the market for optical cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Remember -- bits are bits!
Either a cable is going to carry the bits from one end to the other, or it isn't.Optical doesn't need fancy stuff like gold plated contacts (yes, there are vendors who make optical cables with gold-plated contacts!).This inexpensive cable works great, and is going to sound every bit as good as a TOSLINK cable that costs 10x as much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why pay more?
I recieved one of these toslink optical cables so I could connect my xbox advanced A/V adapter to my digital suround sound receiver. It worked just fine.In my opinion it doesn't make sense to get esoteric about optical cables for home Audio/Video applications.Save yourself the money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Its a cable.
Functional, but not my favorite snagless design. The rubber half-boots over the cable ends interfeer with the removel of this cable. This is not a problem if you're not taking the cable in and out like I do, or if you never have the cable in a tight connection like I do.There are better designs, like the ones with an additional piece of plastic covering the connection from the opposite direction.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good network cabling!
If you have--or are getting ready to string together-- a network, this cable is the best "glue" to hold your network together.

I have never had any problems with any of the Belkin cables that I have purchased and to put it bluntly, they just work!

When youstring a network together, and go through the hassle ofinstalling your NICs, running cable, and attaching the connectors, the last thing you want is a bad cable.

Buy these cables and put these fears to rest. String 'em and forget 'em. They work as your "silent partner" on your network and provide a stress-free network computing environment--at least where the cabling is concerned!

(and you thought you couldn't say a lot aboutan ethernet cable)

4-0 out of 5 stars They're very good indeed!
They're well made, excellent sounding interconnects from a well known audiophile company --I own some of their more upscale/esoteric audio and video cables.I purchased the 20 ft. run for connecting my DVD player to my Labtec Pulse 475 speaker sys. used with my laptop. This enables me to play DVD audio or music CDs whether or not my laptop is on.Please keep in mind that even though these wires were meant to channel a source signal from the mini plug to the RCA connectors and ultimately to your receiver (yep, the arrows near the RCA plugs is showing the intended direction of signal flow) one can use them in a way such that the signal is forced to flow in the opposite direction instead but consistently so, as I have. The penalty is small, and it disappears after the burn-in period, 3-4 mos.

Similarly, I've used their 2 meter Interlink 400 MK II version of this cable to connect my portable CD player to my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 speakers used with my home workstation with outstanding results! The only caveat:in order to fully benefit from cable at this level (quality), all links in the audio chain must, at least, equal the cable's quality since the cable itself IS an audio component or device; otherwise, one may never hear a difference. The chain is as good as its weekest link.Benefits:natural midrange, soundstaging and image details are believable, and bass has nice slam.

My friend has this cord to connect his iPod to his stereo, and it works great, great sound, good ease of use etc. I wanted one so I went to Bestbuy today and got one by RCA that sounds just as good for $7.99.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Part for your home audio system
This is a great part of your home audio system should you decide to hook your computer or other device with a minijack plug in to it.A good long cable (other lengths are sold both in a M HP-10 and in the THX series). If you are unsatisfied with your current speakers, and have a good hifi system, but lack the digital connections such as S/PDIF out or Optical on your system, this is the way to go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the $$$
I previously had tried to connect my PC sound card to my stereo receiver in order to play my MP3's on a real system and not my subpar computer speakers...but the sound I got from those cables, was absolutely horrendous.I quickly did more research and discovered Monster Cable's 20' minijack-to-RCA cable (perfect since my PC and stereo are on opposite sides of my room, I still have cable length to spare) and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality sound reproduction.Of course, the sound coming out of your stereo will depend on the quality of that component itself, but with Monster Cable's dual cable and single length (no extension cords to cause dissipation of the sound signal) you too will want to get this equipment...Especially, if you're an audiophile and listen to MP3's all the time, like me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not sure if it's worth the money?Read on.
If you're like me, you are probably wondering if these little cables are actually worth the money. I was using cheap thin wired connections before, and my receiver would have LOTS of background noise and buzzing, so I thought I'd go ahead and give these things a shot. Afterall, I listen to MP3's all the time on my computer through my high end receiver. I'll tell you what, these things work great, and are worth the extra money. Now keep in mind, I'm an audiophile who is very picky about sounds. So for the casual listener who doesn't mind occasional background hissing or lack of crystal clear sound transfer from your computer to your receiver, you might be able to find a cheaper connection. But once again, I think the extra $$ is well worth it and I HIGHLY recomend these. Your only concern here is an economical one. As far as the product is concerned, these things are top notch.Get the 20 feet if you have to go across the a long wall or room to connect your computer to the receiver, otherwise the 10 ft should suffice. ...
