1-0 out of 5 stars basura=garbage
Bought two of these piece of crap. Filled them up with pictures on special trip with my wife; came back home only tofind out that the disks had a memory stick error. Could not retrieve any of my precious pictures. Get SONY forget LEXAR!

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy - I second that!
I recently purchased a 256 Lexar stick at a Target store and after my first time filling it up with pictures I got the "Format Error" message just as the other reviewer explained.I was able to eventually download most of my photos, but did loose a few.Luckily, Target took the stick back and gave me a refund. Now, one of the 128 Lexar sticks I bought last year gave me a "Format Error" after taking a photo.Luckily, I was able to quickly delete the picture and it seems to be working okay now.I am not confident in the durability of this stick so I will NEVER buy Lexar sticks again. When you are recording memories, just spend the extra money on SONY.It's worth it!I have two Sony sticks (one two years old and one a year old.) I have NO problems with these.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy
After using this memory stick in my SONY DSC-V1 for a few months, it just stopped working. I took pictures with it and then transferred them into my SONY VAIO. The memory stick was sitting in my computer's slot for a few days, and when I put it in my camera to take pictures, my camera lcd screen blinked "format error." I tried formatting it with my computer, but my computer told me the disc was write protected, which it wasn't. It would not format in my camera either. I was only able to use one half of the stick. A few pictures later, both halves of the stick were not working. My camera shows each side as having a "format error," or a "system error."

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots o' pictures for the ol' camera
The first thing you need to know is that a Memory Stick Pro stick won't work in a device designed for just the regular Memory Sticks. So you can stop drooling over the 1GB Pro sticks now.

That leaves regular Memory Sticks, which must have some memory-addressing issue that only allows 128 MB to be available at any one time. So, to have a larger Memory Stick, you need one with a switch so that you can switch between the two memory chips which each can be no larger that 128 MB.That's what this stick has.Of course, you have to take the stick out of the camera to flip the switch. And the switch is small, but it is surprisingly easy to operate with a fingernail.

Right now, I'm using it with a 2 megapixel camera, so I get over 100 shots per chip, or over 200 shots on the stick. For a photo geek like me, that's great.I've been very satisfied with this Memory Stick.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value, good functionality
As correctly described in another review, this is 2x128M (together 256Mb) memory stick. You have a little jumper on the back to switch between the banks.

For reference, there is no such thing as 256 Mb memory stick, that's a limitation of memory stick technology. To overcome this limitation, Sony came up with the Memory Stick Pro standard, which can be 256 Mb, 512 Mb, and even 1Gb+, but Memory Stick Pro is not compatible with many older devices.

So if you camera takes Memory Stick, this is an absolutely best value you can find. I have 256 Mb memory stick from Lexar and very happy about it -- actually I came here to buy another one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
This product is exactly what I was looking for!It is the perfect solution to not carrying around your annoying USB card reader. This shipped in a couple of days, plugged it in to my Dell 600M laptop, and it works beautifully! And with a name like SanDisk, you know you are getting a quality product!Don't think twice, BUY IT NOW!

Oh, and to those wondering if, when plugged in, it is flush with the side of your laptop (as I was wondering)...IT IS!Even when you have a CF card in, it is still flush with the side of your laptop. It does NOT pertrude one bit, unlike WiFi cards!

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice !!!!!!
Good quality product.Works faster than any reader.Readers are painful to carry, plug etc.

This is a quite a solution. If you can afford another memory other than the one in your dig cam, this can act as your backup hardrive for important files.that;s how useful this is !!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great buy for the money.
I bought these headphones based upon the reviews I read here to replace a Sony MDR J10 that I was using with my MP3 player. These headphones are perfect. They fit very snuggly, assuring great sound, and they stay in place (just make sure the cord is on the right ear). The single cord does not get tangled and the headphones play much louder than the Sony (the built in volume control is nice too). As for the sound, the treble and base are much better than the Sony and the music comes in loud and clear. I highly recommend the Aiwa Hp-JS35.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent fit and sound for running.
I purchased 2 pairs of these headphones 6 months ago.The sound quality and fit is excellent.I do have one complaint, however. For some reason, the right channel (the one without the cord connected to it) onboth sets has faded and I cannot get it back to the same volume level.I am going to replace them with the same brand because they are so good in every other way.

5-0 out of 5 stars a great buy
This is a great product 25 dollars can buy. When my headphones got broken at work, I went out and bought this at radioshack during lunch after I read the reviews on amazon{.com}. Consequently I am very happy with my decision. The egonomical design and sound quality are its two top qualities.Unlike the earbuds I owned before, once this's in my ears, I didn't feel the need to keep pushing it in all the time.I could even hear clearly the piano playing in a mixture of the background music, that ususaly is a sign of good sound quality. There are moments I am just at awe with it's surround stereo quality. All in all, this is a very good product for a small amount of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent, practical, great for sports
Over the years I have tried many different headphones for jogging and working out. This is by far the best. The combination of the fit, together with the in-line volume control, make it extremely practical and it provides great sound.

The volume control on my first set is broken after 3 years (of hard-core use), so I am buying a new set.

The best use was on the ski-slopes, where the snug fit was crucial, and the in-line volume control meant that I could just turn down the volume to talk on the ski lifts, without going through the whole ski-glove, ski-jacket, ski-hat routine.

The only (very minor) drawback is that you can't use it to lean back against high seats, like on airplanes. I have a different set for that.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece
These sleek headhpones are stylish and have great sound. The bass is boomin' and they're easy to put on.I have 4 pairs of headphones and these are the best or second best. The Sony MDRQ33LP are as good or better than these. It depends when I'm using the headphones. These Aiwa headphones don't let you rest back on stuff but the Sony ones do.They're both very comfortable and have great sound quality though.I find this headphone's cord a bit on the short side though. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good Value But Cases Not Equivalent
These cases are a great deal, and a lot cheaper than you can get from Memorex. But they are not as durable. Plastic cases feel a little weaker than original dvd cases or Memorex.

However, I will buy these again if I ever need anymore because they do look exactly the same with the plastic covering and plastic case and are a lot better deal than any other I have found. They also will still definitely do their job of protecting the dvd as the plastic is still pretty tough. So I give it 5 stars because it is definitely a great deal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Always good to have
This is a cable that anyone could use. If you don't have a FireWire card, it's better to have this one in case you upgrade. Even if you do have FireWire, it's good to have this as a backup--what if you only have one FireWire port and you've got an external hard drive on it that you can't disconnect? The versatility alone is good, and the fact that it's relatively inexpensive for a name brand cable makes it a better deal.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just so you know...
Picked up one to charge my iPod at work: you should note that you can't use the USB to charge (3G iPod, at least) either through your computer or through a separate USB AC Adaptor. You can only charge through Firewire on 3G iPods.I made this mistake and have had to return parts. This seems to be a very obscure fact. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Smartmedia Card Error
I had also card error, with a 16 and a 128M cards, and solve this problem, only by reformating the card using the SMFORMAT.EXE file found at this address:
http://www.marshost.com/~rashmun/

HBidaud

3-0 out of 5 stars Smart media card errors.
You stick the card in your camera, and get the message "Card Error"Buying a new card is almost inevitable.I lost an 8mb, and had a 64mb card at the edge of the old round file.

What has happens, is that "Windows" formating has corrupted the smart media format on the card. This happens when you edit or delete files on the card thru a card reader attached to your computer. It is always a good idea to delete files, and format your card only in the camera.Otherwise you risk the "Card Error" message the next time you try to use the card in your camera.

The cards can be recovered, but only by recovering the original formatting. (...)
I had no clue what was being said here, but the breadth of what I read sent my 8mb smart media card to the trash.

When I lost my 64mb card to a similar error. I felt it was worth trying to restore the formatting. But the above web site had some OS restrictions and didn't seem to work without significant hardware, software, and knowledge.Seeing all the people with similar errors led me to believe that someone had to have a simple way to recover the card to it's original state. This is when I discoved WinHex. (...)

WinHex used a simple copy and paste editor GUI, and some conveneintly supplied DAT files to fix the "Card Error".
It is possible that other "hex" editors can do the same thing as long as you have the proper DAT file to replace the damaged file system.
Buying a new card is always an option though... : )

4-0 out of 5 stars replacing after format lost
I am replacing a 128MB card after one of two I owned lost its format.I had the card in an Olympus P440 photo printer (using a PCMCIA adapter). While printing, I lost power to the printer. When I powered everything up again, some of the image data was lost and errors were diaplyed on the printer. When I reinserted the card into my Olympus 3040 camera, it diplayed a card error and refused to reformat with the tool icon.So I threw the card away. This is the only problem I have had in 2+ years, but it seems like a serious design flaw for a card that should have only been open for a read function.

3-0 out of 5 stars some problems
I bought two of these cards a little less than a year ago
and they worked great until recently.I had 160 images on
one card and when I tried to upload them to my Dell (which
I have done with success many times) I got
"Disk is not formatted."I tried uploading to an IBM PC
and got the same message. When I put the card into an HP
printer (that I have had success with in the past) I got
"Error on card."I was pretty depressed by this since the
images were taken over several weeks for a documentation
project. As a last effort, I tried uploading the images to
an HP computer, and that worked fine - so they were saved.
I tossed the defective card.I had in no way mistreated it.
This experience has taught me to upload my pictures more
frequently - you could lose a lot of valuable images.

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Ahead and Spend the Extra Money
While it is true that the Olympus media cards are used mostly for being able to utilize the panoramic picture option, I have just experienced a problem with a generic brand Smart Media card after owning my Camedia 2040 for two years.I purchased the card this summer, and it worked fine for a while, but now suddenly and unexpectedly for some unknown reason (I had removed the card to view the pictures on the computer with a reader), the camera says the card is not formatted. The 100+ pictures are still on the card, and it is not full, but I can no longer use it for taking pictures or viewing pictures in the camera viewer.

I put my old full Olympus cards in and the camera recognizes them right away and displays the pictures in the camera viewer.I can view the pictures on the generic card with my reader on the computer, but the card itself now seems to be useless.I think I paid close to $40 for the card at a warehouse club.My advice is to spend a little more and get the Olympus card made for the camera so you don't wind up in a situation where your cheaper generic card suddenly goes out in the middle of an unrepeatable moment or occasion. ... In the real of media, there arent many that stand out to be impressive- and this card isn't an impressive performer, which is why I would only give it 4 stars. 5-0 out of 5 stars Good dvd-rw
These are the only reliable disks I have found.I began a collection of Friends on my dvd-rws.I have over 25 disks full so far and only had minimal problems with 1 or 2 disks.I rewatch all my favorite episodes, of which I have over 100 and have no problems. These are the best!

1-0 out of 5 stars Memorex (Forget it) Dysfunctional Software
Reads as Audio file (from a fresh disk.)Windows Media Pops up when disk is first inserted. Huh?
Mis reads memory (states disk has 1.99 GB's without even being used yet.) What?
Does not function for Backup source (Windows Me) Why Me?
Does not format ...What?
No matter which Memorex you use none of them work. I tried 3 versions of DVD+RW
Disk played DVD R's from Verbatim but spit Memorex out like tobacco.

This company never ceases to amaze me with the mistakes in their products from CD's to DVD's . You want to know the most popular brand on the shelf? Start by seeing the brand that's missing the most. If the shelf is over-stocked with Memorex, then it's pretty obvious people aren't buying them for a reason. Say your prayers, or buy a tent and camp outside of the store. Waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Flawless recording with Sharp DV-SR3U
Just a quick note that these discs work flawlessly in my Sharp DV-SR3U recorder. And when I record+finalize in "Video" mode (not "VR" mode), they play back perfectly on all of my friends' and relatives' DVD players.

I recently tried cheaper DVD-RW media from TDK, but my recorder rejected them. And yes, I know the difference between -RW and +RW.Apparently, "data" media and "video" media are distinct, even though both are labelled as "DVD-RW".Video recorders like mine want video media like this.Caveat emptor!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not universally compatable !!
I have used this _RW with my Sanyo DVD recorder. The result is that I cound not play the recording. It wil freeze up. and some times they can not be formatted. They will not function well if they are used for the VR mode. I have used other brands such as TDK or Fuji. they are OK.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good dvd-rw media.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding reliability ...
I bought this card about 18 months ago, and I've taken several thousand pictures with it. It's been taken overseas to experience a humid Scandinavian summer, and it's been used extensively the furnace that some people refer to as southern Arizona. I have several other Sandisk CF cards, and this being one of my oldest ones, I've got "nothing" but good things to say about it (except for the speed). :-)

Pros:
* Durable and extremely reliable - Sandisk is without a doubt the most reliable brand on the market for CF cards.
* Can be found very reasonably priced - usually very good value for money.

Cons:
* Just about the slowest CF card on the market.

Personally, I'm all about reliability. I wouldn't trade my Sandisk cards for any other card, even if the price was lower or performance higher. A card that corrupts your pictures even on rare occations is a useless card in my mind. This or any other of my Sandisk CF cards have never given me any problems. I also have several friends that have used Sandisk CF cards for several years, and between us we've never had any problems with any of our Sandisk CF cards.

I would highly recommend this card, and despite its speed, I would say it's a good buy. Because of its outstanding reliability, I give it 5 stars!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great deal
Buy this.Works well and a good deal for the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great.
Camera makers bundle a small amount of memory, in my case 8 MB. It is a must to order more memory. This SanDisk 128 MB CF card has worked great for me. I'm able to store 162 images at the highest setting. This card has worked over and over again, I have had zero problems with this card. It mounts for me in WindowsXP, and MacOS X. Works great with iPhoto, etc...

5-0 out of 5 stars the best storage media
I bought this for my wife's Canon Elph digital camera...It's perfect...she has trouble filling it up!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good buy for the price
I received a 16MB card with mi Nikon Coolpix 2000 which wasn't enough. I purchased this CF card on Amazon and have been very satisfied with the results. I have stored upto 60 pictures and 20 videos before I have had to move it to my computer. There is insignificant lag. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic general purpose investment!
The V6 (not V600) headphone by Sony is a classic. While studio professionals will want more than these can offer, most general consumers will love these headphones. They do an honest job of sounding incredible and being collapsable for travel and storage. Metal instead of plastic is used in some areas of its construction (see photos), and it comes with a carrying bag. If you want hip-hop headphones that boost bass response there are other choices you could make, but I find these great for DJ use. The MDR-V6 has amazing overall range and volume making them perfect for iPod or CD player use. I was once told, "This is the best music has ever sounded" from a friend who tried them. They are so comfy for travel and block some outside noise naturally. These are a fine investment as your only pair of great headphones, or to add to your collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars A classic that's easy to find
I've sampled nearly the whole Sony headphone line, but the V6 is notable for its flattering sound and good value. While it's unlikely to meet the requirements of a seasoned audiophile, it will delight most everyone else with its ability to render many types of music well.

The pads are extremely comfortable. (However, continued use may cause the rubber to flake after several years; Beyer makes fine replacement pads.) As you'd expect from closed headphones, the sound is a little "closed-in" -- but detailed enough to do justice to anything from classical to punk. These are fun headphones capable of a nice dynamic range.

The V6 doesn't try to emulate the sound of a concert hall or a studio; rather, it offers a pleasant musical experience of its own.

-- It's reasonably priced
-- They play many types of music
-- They're easily driven by iPods or CD players
-- The V6 is (aside from the pads) an amazingly sturdy performer

If you're picky...
-- The sound is "colored" (that is, not completely accurate)
-- They have a closed-in sound -- a result of their being closed phones

I've since graduated to the Beyer DT880s, a notably better phone. But the V6 has legions of fans, for obvious reasons. Even people who hate Sony headphones concede the V6's attractive sound. They've served me well for over a decade.

5-0 out of 5 stars No "Pounding Bass", thanks to Sony
Good:
1~ Ultra-low distortion
2~ High efficiency
3~ Nearly flat response curve across a broader range of frequencies than any human can hear
4~ Good isolation
5~ Folds for easy storage
6~ Durable long coiled cord
7~ Comfortable, conservatively styled
Not so good:
8~ Earpad covering not very durable (but easily replaced at small cost)

In sum, the MDR-V6 is one of the best headphones on the market. It transduces audio signals extremely accurately. It feels andlooks like a professional tool, not a Star Trek prop. If a recording is bad, this set will show the badness in extreme high fidelity; some people may not like that.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pounding Bass????
After reading all the praises over these headphones, I decided to purchase them..so know I wonder, I don't know what kind of music you guys listen to, but it's not that these things have not the greatest bass, is that they simply do NOT have bass.
I would definitely use these phones for what they were made for at first, which is fidel monitor reproduction or studio works, but on a everyday basis, they just totally don't do it for me.Any reccomendations?

5-0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING SOUND!
I am an avid music listener and can definitely appreciate quality sound. I've used many different headphones, ear buds, etc. and the Sony MDR-V6 are by far the best I've ever owned. The sound is crystal clear, they are comfortable to wear and they fold up! After doing my research and reading countless reviews I decided to pull the trigger and go for it...I'm glad I did, these phones rock! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars These will crack your CD's!!!
I've purchased these double CD cases before. The problem is that the center piece is too big for the CD.As a result, you end up forcing the CD onto the piece, which in turn creates cracks starting at the center of the CD in various places!!I have a pile of CD's now that I have to reburn because of these cheaply made cases.STAY AWAY! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Handy Little Flash Drive
It worked great for me for about a year. The capacity was somewhat constricting but that's what i paid for....Not a good choice if your computer is on the ground.I barely stepped on it and it busted. So its time for an upgrade!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Until it crashed - wonderful
Had one for just under one year. Worked well with a variety of media: music files, pictures, documents. Moved files back and forth between several pc's without any difficulty. Seemed fairly durable as well. Like with another reviewer, one day it just stopped working. Technical support tried walking me through several steps to no avail. As with any backup or transporting drive, do not have files only on the media. Even if it was still working, if I had lost it.....

1-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable
I've have one of the these and another, more expensive, Lexar flash drive just suddenly die on me, and I've read of others who have had the same experience. If you have one already, don't use it as a 'backup' - only use it to transport files.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great storing device.
This is a great storing device, it works pretty well, and it's simple to use. The only bad thing is that it has a very low storage capacity, 128 megs, but that depends on your needs. If you need few storage and flexibility, this item is for you, but you are a compusilve freak who moves a lot of data some one system to the other,, you better look an item of the same brand, but with bigger capacity.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Technology, Poor Design.
I've had this little keychain device since it came out.Overall I'm satisfied.I think it was worth the six dollars I ended up paying after rebates.

The Bad:

The key ring design isn't very durable. The unit is sealed in two locking pieces of plastic, split down the middle. The part that comprises the key ring is very frail and is actually just two thin pieces of plastic that run next to each other.Needless to say, it broke within the first month.

The clip on the cap broke within the first week.

If your laptop (HP/Compaq?) has an access panel over your USB ports and the ports are vertical, good luck on getting this unit seated properly.

The unit isn't 128MB.That is the raw amount of space; it is formatted to a slightly lower capacity.

The Good:

After falling off my key chain, the drive sometimes gets left in the pants and gets put though a cycle in the wash.I've found it at the bottom of the tub three times and the data is still error free. The USB connector isn't rusted either. ... Read more
