The Schriber Acoustic SA-568 is a versatile professional dual-mode electret-condenser microphone. The microphone's design allows it to be used with confidence in diverse miking applications. The SA-568 features two user-selectable polar patterns. The Hypercardioid "Tele" setting gives a long narrow pattern which is ideal for isolating sounds at a distance such as at weddings and speeches. The cardioid setting yields a wider pattern well-suited to close-range pickup of larger groups or for interview work. While commonly mounted on a stand, camera or pole the SA-568 can be hand-held with excellent results. The back electret-condenser element is powered internally by a single 1.5v AA battery. Blinking Lights Don't Stay On
Maybe mine have a problem but I usually don't listen to my headphones real loud. You get accustomed to whatever volume you train your ears at so, to not go deaf, I listen at about half volume. The blinking lights on these headphones come on right above that. Why would they do that? Why have a sensitivity that's
A) Non-adjustable, and
B) Why have any sensitivity at all if the lights don't go to the beat of the music?
I mean there's an on-off button on the cord. I don't get it. Other than that, the sound is great for the price.

Too Cool!
These headphones are VERY comfortable and don't fall off easily! The lights don't go with the beat, but it's neat just to turn em of and off. I highly recommend these!

False advertising!!!
The sound of these headphones is pretty good, but nothing spectacular.My biggest problem is the fact that the product states that the lights blink to the beat of the music.Far from it.The lights blink at the same pace no matter what you are listening to and they look pretty cheesy.

Blinking Lights Attract Weirdos
This is the second pair of Maxell Blinkers I have purchased. The fit is snug, but not tight, there is only one cord, so it doesn't tangle. I wear a lot of hats, and it goes round back, so thats a good thing. And I have a smalish head, and they fit fine. My only 'complaint' if backed up against a wall is, the stupid blinking lights. I mean if they blinked in time with the music, I could see the point, but they go round endlessly like a 3 legged dog!
Im 28, and I dont need small children staring and pointing at me, as I stare out into space, trying not to be worried- If you get these, and I reccomend them, because the sound is excellent-deep bass, yet they dont disturb the person next to you - REMOVE THE BATTERIES or you will have all sorts of weirdos following you...unless that appeals to you.

What do you want for $3.00
They are great Headphones for $3.00 stop whining, what do you expect fro $3.00, none of this style of headphone, at least in my opinion is comfortable, and none of this style of headphone is going to block the noise, you need a haedphone that covers your entire ear to block noise. If you need a cheap pair of earbuds buy these, they have a LIFETIME Warranty from the manufacturer, find another headphone that has a LIFETIME Warranty. Especially on a $3.00 pair of headphones.

Pure Junk
Just like everyone else, they did not fit well in my ears and continually fell out.Not only that, they do nothing to block out external noises.I'm looking again for something better, and will not be afraid to spend a little extra money.

These are REALLY bad earphones
I bought a pair of these and will never buy them again.The covers came off the earpieces and would NEVER GO BACK ON!!!! The sound quality was also very poor.Most of the time it seemed as if people around me could hear my music better than I could because the earpieces did not fit well into my ears.These are a complete waste of money!!

A complete waste of money
I can't believe how [junky] these earbuds are.I debated between Koss and Sony, but Sony were twice as much.Unfortunately I bought them at a store where I could read the reviews.I'd return them but I bought them while on vacation.These things are totally [junk].They're not shaped to fit the ears at all, and they fall out of mine within 30 seconds.They're totally unusable.My Sony's on the other hand (the cheapest, most basic) stay in even when I do sports.I learned my lesson trying to save a few bucks, and I'll never buy another Koss product again.

I have to be so near to this mike for it to broadcast over my computer's speakers that my breathing is picked upas well as my voice.

Ok Sound quality, poor life
This mic lasted me only 10 months and I had bought it for $[a good price]. The sound quality is ok and you need to tune it through your audio wizard or sound can be very distorted. As someone else mentioned it was not a very good mic to use with speech recognition software but ok for conversations. Howerver, it just stopped working one day.

Good for voice/net telephony, bad for serious stuff
This thing sounds ok as a voice recording mic and for transmitting speech over the net to other humans, but for things like speech recognition and anything where the computer itself may have to understand you, this thing is aweful.It does not do a good job at all of filtering out background noise.If you want a good speech recognition mic, go find yourself a decent headset that specializes in speech.

Good sound quality, provided you have good mic-input
This is a decent quality microphone with above average sound. It sounded horrible at first, but it was due to the poor microphone input on the motherboard. After I tried an external sound blaster Extigy, the sound quality improved a lot.

Background noise level is about average. I do have to crank up the mic input level to maximum on the extigy, and on windows volume control to get decent sound level.

If you are using the build-in microphone input on your motherboard or a cheap sound card, the quality may suffer (ie, very low voice level, not clear at all).
