Mine was falling apart within a day.Also, the band is poorly shaped.I can't imagine it fitting anyone.The long cord is good but make sure you need one.Mine gets tangled because it is too long for what i need

Nice cheap headphones.
I bought these very cheaply at a discount store, for use with my laptop, because earbuds hurt my ears after a while.These headphones are collapsible, which is a plus, but the plastic seems flimsy, which is a minus.I don't think they'd survive being sat on by accident.

The sound is surprisingly good, even on bass!I've only had these for 2 weeks, so I can't attest to longevity.I was going to give 3 stars, but added one more because of the price.For < $10, I can'task for more.

Excellent portable speakers
Great value. Six-foot cord was what I was looking for, so it connects to the computer sound card at the rear, but I can still dance. Folding frame makes for excellent portability. Sound: great!Excellent clarity, bass isn't disappointing. You don't lose anything with this headphone set.

It works OK, but I can't understand why it doesn't have a volume control.One of the major reason for purchasing a remote mic is to allow the radio to be placed in an unreachable location.The mic should have a volume control so that the volume can be adjusted without digging out the radio. I bought mine so that my radio could be buried in my backpack while mountain biking.After using it and cursing my inability to adjust the volume, I gave up on the remote mic and switched to a strap-mounted radio pocket.

REMOTE MICROPHONE
I wanted this for the Talkabout unit as soon as I saw someone with it. We are skiers: the remote allows us to keep the main unit in our warm pockets, and to more readily reply without taking it out. It indeed meets our needs not only skiing but also when our hands are busy with a fishing pole. In other words, it is really useful for anyone who is outdoors and wants to avoid fumbling around for the basic unit. I am somewhat disappointed at the clip which attaches the microphone. The clip is on the small size and subject to coming loose.

If you get a TalkAbout 250, you must get this microphone
The talkabout 250 seems to have a clunky design, specifically with the placement of the "Push to Talk" button.This microphone plugs in and allows you the ease and flexibility of a real microphone.

Ths microphone unit works both as a speaker and as a microphone.The speakerin this unit is superior to the internal speaker in the talkabout.

Thisunit allows you to put the radio in your pocket, or clip it on your beltand still be able to hear and talk on the radio.The microphone contains aclip that you can clip to your collar or shirt pocket that keeps thespeaker close enough to your ear for you to hear anything, as well as closeto your mouth for talking.

I strongly suggest that if you buy a TalkAbout250 that you also buy this microphone.

This microphone does not work withthe TalkAbout 280 which has different size microphone/headphone jacks.
