The Yamaha RM1x Hip Hop and R&B Groove Library comprises no less than 25 brand new and highly cool hip hop/R&B grooves created by Ron E Beck, one-time Tower Of Power drummer and now sought-after East Bay producer and recording artist. Ranging from sparse and slinky R Kelly/TLC type grooves, to earthy funk, to raw, up front grooves not so much in your face as down your throat, they all can of course be remixed, stretched, and deconstructed on the fly using the RM1x's realtime knobs and performance controls. What's in a groove? Each groove has a wide variety of independently controllable drum/percussion parts, plus bass, keys, guitar, synths, and custom effects. Grooves range from 4 to 16 bars in length. But that's not all. Keyfax has trawled their vaults looking for all those juicy outtakes that didn't make it onto some of the more sober MIDI sample volumes and have added a further 96 individual instrument licks that you can cut and paste into any pattern, to build or spice it up. Guitar lines, basslines, drumloops, synth parts, and even some snakey trumpet and sax phrases. Everything comes in native (R1P) format.
