Great device, compatible with notebooks.
The last reviewer is obviously not much of a computer user. A laptop and a desktop are quite different physically, but there is no way that an external componant such as a keyboard is INCOMPATIBLE with a notebook system. The reviewer must not have had any PS/2 ports on his notebooks, and after attempting to jam the male PS/2 connector into various non-PS/2 female slots, he decided that the device was totally incompatible with not only his notebooks, but everyone elses as well. True, many new notebooks no longer carry PS/2 ports, in exchange for more versitile USB ports, but there exists a cheap, small, and easy to find solution to this problem... a PS/2 to USB converter.

This keyboard IS compatible with notebook computers, and offers the user not only an ergonomic PC keyboard with hotkeys, but also an awesome 37 key touch-sensitive MIDI piano keyboard.

A helpful warning
I tend to think of myself as, at least mildly, an aware person. Yet, somehow, I managed to overlook the part about this not being compatible with laptops and notebooks. There are 3 laptops in the house and not a desktop to be found rendering the keyboard completey useless. This may actually be a worthwhile purchase if you have a desktop, I wouldn't be able to advise you on that. I may still be desperate enough to go out and buy a desktop, but isn't that getting a little rediculous? In the past I have purchased keyboards for my computers, but never a computer for my keyboard. Great beginner's instrument
Having listened to George Harrison's "Brainwashed" and seein the lovely Concert for George DVD, I have become fascinated with the possibilities of the little four-stringed ukulele.Not being inclined to playing stringed instruments, I figured the uke would be good for an absolute beginner.The OU-2 is a pretty good quality instrument with clear tones and appears well built; this is not some cheapie plastic toy, but can be played easily in a little bit, mastering the three or four chords taking a little practice.The instrument sounds nicely, especially as one gains a "touch" on the strings, and it can take a beginner to more complex studies easily.Would recommend highly to the novice (like me) as a great starter instrument. ... Kazoo not get better than this!
This Kazoo it fantastic,it has that classic kazoo sound but not too harsh like the plastic ones and not as oaky as the wooden ones. I've owned many kazoos in my life time but nothing can compare to the clean, crisp sound of this baby!
During evenings and weekends I sometimes like to invite my neighbours, family and friends round for a shin dig, everytime I get my kazoo out the party starts a swingin'! Everyone's favourite is 'He's Got the Whole World in His Arms', another popular song I like to play on it is Tom Jones' 'What's New Pussy Cat'; that always goes down a treat. One of my personal favourites which I like to play on my Classic Metal Kazoo is the theme from The Sweeney, whenever I'm feeling glum the sound of that song always cheers me up good and proper!
At and amazing measurement 4.75 inches this is the ideal instrument for the travelling musician who can't afford too much weight in his luggage, it's also ideal for sneaking into dinner parties, job interviews and other social events, it's a wonderful sight to see peoples faces when the kazoo is suddenly blasting out a pop song or two, they love it! Being made of metal you may think it would be heavy but, incredibly, it's not! it is surprisingly light weight and its streamline design ensures that it fits snugly in your pocket allowing for discreet portability. Costing an amazing $2.45 this is execellent value for money! But I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, this only for intermediate - advanced player only.
I award this product five stars and a WG Sinclair BIG double thumbs up!

Great sound but poor build
This kazoo provides a classic robust sound and has an overall "kazooness" that I really like.However, the resonators develop holes and tears far too easily.I had a bunch of these and many only held up to 20-60 minutes of aggressive playing.And unlike the kazoos I remember from my youth, you can't unscrew the bell and put in a new resonator (or a piece of wax paper).So if you like this kazoo, plan on buying a bunch of them.I'm still searching for one that is more durable yet doesn't sound too thin or too much like the kazoutists voice.

I concur
Of the several hundred metal and plastic kazoos I've sampled in the past few months (not counting the fifteen wood ones and the one made out of some kind of undefinable alloy), I find this 4.75" classic metal kazoo to be the standard bearer.Really, no one has ever improved on its basic design, whether it's hitting the high notes, or diverting the spit out of the slot to prevent excess condensation in the shaft.Just like no one has improved the bicycle, wheel, or toothbrush in the past hundred years (except for lighter bike frames, more durable wheels, and the better bristles that really get underneath the gums), no one can ever top the classic kazoo for creating mellifluous, gleeful, and beautiful pan-like tunes.

I've been looking for a metal kazoo for nearly a year now.Metal kazoos like this one plays pretty good and the sound seems more refined than a plastic kazoo.Though plastic kazoos are fun too.I look forward playing this kazoo at home and church.

You Get What You Pay For
I bought this guitar because it was cheap, 38" (I thought that it was full size), and because I am just starting to learn.

I'm not really sure why the previous reviewer felt so happy with this guitar, but I am telling you, even at $45, this guitar is not worth the money. First off, the fretboard is plastic. I guess this doesn't really matter, but the feel and looks of it are unsatisfactory. Secondly, the tuners are plastic, and I was extremely lucky if the guitar stayed in tune for more than 3 hours...without me playing it! Thirdly, the strings are off the fretboard by at Least 3/4 of a cm past the 10th fret. This is highly uncomfortable and forces you to apply much pressure to avoid the buzzing. Lastly, though this CLASSICAL guitar comes with a thin nylon bag, flimsy strap, pick, and an extra set of strings, it is still not worth $45+.

I have returned this guitar and have spent the extra $15 to buy the "Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Guitar, Natural" and I am Happy to say that I am totally satisfied with my purchase. You can see my review there.

Unless you are a talented and experienced guitarist who can manage the extremely difficult challenges in playing this "toyish" guitar, I do not recommend it, especially for beginners.

Tiny chimes from heaven
After a long spell out of society I was advised that the best way to get back in touch with my fellow man was through the medium of music.My parole officer advised me that creative activities such as playing an instrument tend to show us how cultured and worthwhile the lives of humans are, rather than looking on one's fellow man as a fetid and putrid beast.I have always enjoyed listening to music and whilst not being equipped to learn any complex instrument percussion is definitely where it's at for me!

I purchased this pulse triangle as a means of beginning the road to becoming the next Phil Collins or Ringo Star.I found the Pulse Triangle to be easy to use and rewarding in the results.I am able to add my own accompaniment to most tunes, from Fleetwood Mac's 'Albatross' to Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teenspirit'.I did have some trouble mastering the later as higher tempo tunes tend to be difficult to keep up with.My girlfriend likened me to an epileptic gymnast as she watched me playing along to the William Tell Overture.

In summary if you are looking for a way into music and want a simple instrument that tests the water then the Pulse Triangle is for you.It's cheap, enjoyable and very forgiving.However it is not recommended for playing naked. ... Read more
