Great Chorus for Bass
I recently got this multi-chorus for use with my bass and I'm loving it. I've tried other choruses in the past (made for guitars) and found that they didn't track well when used with my bass, and didn't seem to produce a rich chorus effect on the lower notes. This one does both excellently.

Cool features include the push pins for accessing the battery which seem like a better design to me than the thumb-screws Boss uses on their pedals. I also like the heft of this sucker, and the totally solid steel chassis it's housed in. I've only had it a short while, but it seems like it should hold up a long time on the road, which is where I'll be taking it.

The device lets you dial in anywhere from 2 to 16 voices, although honestly, I'm not personally capable of hearing much difference between 10 and 16 voices, in either case that's usually way to much chorus for most bass lines. But what the heck, it's there if you want it. I'd love an opportunity to compare this unit side by side with the bass chorus offered by Boss, but since my electronic musical toy budget is limited, that may not be too likely.

If you want a good chorus for your bass, this one is going to work better than most you try, but like any chorus I've tried, it does take some of the punch and attack out of your sound, so please use it in moderation.

2 Phase 90's in one
This musical unit has ability to switch between the 70's script logo Phase 90 and the more modern Block logo Phase 90.The Script setting is quite a bit smoother in the upper register harmonics.It has the EVH striping which looks cool to most guitarists over 25.Its a good solid unit but a bit pricey compared to the standard Phase 90 so 4 of 5 starts.If you need a really a versitile phaser look at the Phase 100.

You can deffinitely get that Atomic Punk sound out of this unit but remember to use a short slap back delay to match the intro.When it sounds like the palming speeds up Eddie is really just tapping the delay on then off and keeping the wiping speed constant.

Good sound from a durable pedal
Overall this is a good pedal.The sound is good and the Q control can create a good range of sounds.When you step off it, it goes to the full up position, and switches to bypass if left there for a half second or so.The bypass is excellent; I can't tell it's in the chain when I'm not using it.It has a strong metal housing, and you can easily put your full weight on it without hurting it.A metal gear strip attached to the platform turns a gear in the base, making for a very solid connection.

My biggest complaint is that the platform has a pretty limited range of motion-- 10 or 15 degrees at most.A little more range would make it easier to get some in-between sounds rather than full on or full off.While it's sound is quite good, I think there's still some room for improvement there as well. ...
