Great Value
The turntables are great for the beginner DJ and are good enough to start scratching and practicing beat juggling. If you get good with these you will be incredible on some better decks. The mixer was not good at all really but it works and you can always upgrade with the money you saved by buying this pack in the first place.

Good deal
Awesome price for 2 turntables a mixer, especially for begginers. The actual turntables are alright but the mixer was absolutely terrible. The turntables dont have that much torque but still enough for scratching and beatjuggling. One weird thing i noticed though is that 1 table is a bit slower at -10 pitch than the other but overall its a good deal.

Yo, in this dj package the STR8-30b turntables are great.With there direct drive motors and their 10% pitch control these turntables will last for years.They work great for scrating or just playin a record.The mixer that comes with this package also rules.It has every thing you need like the mic input ans the low and high control for both chanels.The crossfader isn't the best but it works.So if you are starting dj work than I would get this.STANTON RULES!!! ... OK, room for improvement
First off, on the plus side: This player is truly portable, running for a good many hours on a set of 6 "D" cell batteries, or on the supplied AC adapter. The turntable is good, with accurate electronically controlled speed (including 78 RPM- A big plus to many vintage collectors), adjustable pitch. The tone arm is borderline unacceptable. Heavy weight with way-too-much skating tendencies, so much so that the sound is unbalanced in the headphones as the stylus is always being pressed against the left side of the ceramic pickup element. The built in amplifier and speaker are just barely loud enough to hear in a home setting- forget a noisey environment. The headphones are your only choice here. Am I sorry I bought it? Pretty good...

I'll be honest, I have nothing to compare this to.

I got it for Christmas and unwrapped it a week later. It is definitely a good starter kit. You get headphones and speakers right out of the gate so you can start messing around immediately. It has the small and the large headphone jacks. It only has RCA (red white) outs.

The directions are pretty bare bones unfortunately. The fader works well. The pitch is intuitive. Everything works. No scratching CDs however, but then again that is more the pro level.

I would definitely say this is a good buy if you aren't sure you like doing it. Some of the really good stuff costs an arm and a leg while this just costs a hand. For 2xx bucks you are buying the ability to start DJing at parties and for your friends. Just don't expect to place in a DJ competition with this stuff.

The speakers are cheap but they do work well, you can easily boost them up by plugging a pair of solid computer speakers into the headphone jack.
